Kamala Harris Puts Finishing Touches On 'Battlestar Galactica' Fan Fiction
Washington, DC — Balancing work and life is a challenge faced by many, but politician Kamala Harris seems to have found the perfect equilibrium.
Growing up as a devoted fan of the original 'Battlestar Galactica' TV series, which ran from 1978-1979, Harris would spend hours dreaming about the show's intricate plotlines and sprawling, unknown galaxies.
As she moved through her career, her admiration for the series never waned. Now, with a day job that requires minimal attention, she can indulge in what she refers to as her “nerdy hobbies.”
"It's incredible to see her find the time and energy to pursue her artistic passions, even while holding down an office job.” said a source close to Harris. “And the book is pretty good, especially for diehard fans.”
The fan fiction is said to be an ambitious crossover between the 'Battlestar Galactica' universe and real-world political figures.
Harris — whose day job is Vice President of the United States —weaves intricate storylines that see her original characters navigating the treacherous landscape of a post-apocalyptic world.
As she continues to balance her work and artistic pursuits, Harris serves as a shining example of how to make the most of one's downtime. Even her boss, the President of the United States, Joe Biden, has noticed her effort.
“POTUS has expressed interest in reading her book,” said the source close to Harris. “It’s just a little tough for him right now, since he goes to bed around 6 or 7, and is a lot busier during the day than she is.”
